Very rocky trail, and pretty steep in some spots along the yellow trail. Might not be the best idea to do this climb if it has rained that day. There are some steep rock outcroppings that you'll have to hike/crawl/climb and they must get pretty slippery when wet. There's an interesting rock shelter on the side of the yellow trail, but the summit is unremarkable.
Did this after finishing the Buck (Wyanokie) climb. Found the sign in book at the stone living room.
Get the JORBA (mountain biking site) to navigate this park... there are a lot of unmarked trails that are listed on a topo map they have up on there.
Also, If the summit of a mountain is the highest point, or peak, then the coordinates for this summit are off. the coordinates listed on here are at an elevation of 1222. The highest point is actually 530 feet away (at 54 degrees from the coordinates listed here). So, the way I see it, the actual summit of Allamuchy North is at 40 56.218'N, 74 46.291'W. The elevation there is 1231 feet. I confirmed this both on the Garmin that i was using, and on Google Earth when i got home.
