...after one previous unsuccessful attempt to find this summit, my strategy was to follow a spring that flows into Mountain Lake. I followed the spring up to a point where it looked to be nearest the summit. There was a trail that crossed the spring at this point. From here, I headed steeply uphill towards the summit. I found a log fort near the top and then spent about an hour roaming around the flat summit area looking for the true summit. I finally found it by heading directly northwest from the log fort. Strangely enough, a trail passes right next to the actual summmit, which is marked by a cairn. I took a bunch of different unmarked trails back to Mountain Lake trail and back to the parking lot by MOuntain Lake. Glad this one is done.
