Parked at Ramapo Reservation. Hiked with my friend, Merrill. Took the orange blazed trail, passing waterfall, to blue blaze to red/Silver. When we reached the power lines, we turned left and headed up hill. Saw large boulders towards the left and headed up unmarked trail to find the summit. There was a rock pile and we each contributed a rock to it. A fun find!
Parked at Ramapo Valley County Park -Trail Run - took Vista loop (yellow) to Halifax (green) - trail blazes turned PINK despite the map showing Green blazes. On Mount Defiance saw all three scenic views and climbed the highest rock pile on the Mt.

On Mount Defiance saw all three scenic views and climbed the highest rock pile on the Mt. After summit, turned around and headed back to the car via the pipe line and Blue, White, Red/Silver & Blue to lot.
Parked by Otter Hole lot & crossed road. Bagged the peak, visit to the stone living room and found 4 geocaches stretching my hike to 4 miles. . Great views, and overall fun day on trail!!
Hiked Mt. Tammany with friends. Sunny, crisp day with some patchy ice on some areas of the trail. Took Red Dot to Blue Dot to the AT (and continued onto Mt. Minsi)
Hiked with Tammy. Clear cold day, very windy at top. Snow covered ground. Hiked Red/Green loop to monument.
I parked in the main lot at Ramapo Reservation. Headed in along the orange trail, passing the waterfall. Proceeded to blue, then pink counter clockwise around the reservoir to pink/blue and connected with blue trail again. Met up with red/silver and popped out at the base of the pipe line. Ran up the pipeline/ Drag Hill and took the side path to the summit. From Drag Hill, I continued on passing the power facility/tower & turned left heading down to Halifax (green). Connected with the Shore trail (blue) to Cannonball, then White trail to summit Ilgenstein Rock. Two MTB passed by the summit just before I took my pic of Drag Hill from here. It started to flurry at this point. Made my way back out along Hoeferlin Memorial trail (yellow) to Shore trail (blue). The snow was sticking and it looked really pretty. Jumped back to red/silver, to blue, to red towards MacMillan Reservoir. Finishing up along the pink trail, to blue down to Scarlet Oak Pond. One last loop around the pond and back to my car happily covered in snow.
Logging in Ilgenstein Rock - see my previous post -completed this along w Drag Hill same day.
Hiked an in & out with Tammy. We parked on McAfee-Glenwood Rd. Took the AT along the boardwalk through the Pochuck Valley. We stopped at Heaven Hill Farm for cider donuts before climbing Stairway to Heaven. At summit, we took the blue trail to the pinwheel vista where we stopped and enjoyed the gorgeous view. Continued back on to the AT, reached the mailbox & left a note before turning back.
