I hiked here while exploring this portion of the Newark Watershed.
I hiked to the summit via a short detour while on hike of Highlands Trail between Holland Mountain Road and Paradise Road.
It was a great hike to the summit of Mount Tammany and a lot of people were outside enjoying this nice day.
I hiked up to Ilgenstein Rock from Ramapo Valley Reservation. It was an 8+ mile hike and there were great views of the city from the summit.
I hiked 6.35 miles in Hewitt State Forest.
It was a really nice sunny day today, and the hike was not that difficult. The trail was mostly flat with some ups and downs, but it brought us fairly close to the summit.
I hiked up from Stonetown Road. We followed the Highlands Connecter Trail to the Highlands Trail which brought us to the summit. There were about an inch of snow and there were a few tricky sections that were really steep, or covered with ice but we were able to reach the summit.
