Morris County High Point lies within Morris County's premier wilderness reservation: Mahlon Dickerson.
Trail Map: Mahlon Dickerson
The summit is the highest point of a large plateau and is absolutely viewless, but there are good views from the eastern side of Mahlon Dickerson, particularly from the Headley Overlook.

After Bowling Green Mountain I crossed the road and took the faint path that met up with some of the trails in the Mahlon Dickerson Reservation. Hiked out to the trailer area and continued on past to the short ascent up to the sign. Doubled back to the car and drove to the parking lot for Morris Lake Mountain.
I was here several times in the past, but didn't bushwhack off the trail to the "official" high point. Today, I was on the trail doing invasive species surveying for the NY-NJ Trail Conference, so I decided to take a detour to the high point coordinates. Nothing to see, but now I'm official!
My co-pilot giving this one a "thumbs up". Easy, smooth trails for a nice mid-week walkabout. Saw a hand full of other hikers, all of which were very respectful of "social distancing" (thank you all) during these very weird times.
