Description: Bagged Westby Ridge and Wright Pond Cliffs while hiking 4.2 miles. Arranged a morning visit to Hudson Farm Club to hike the trails and bag the peaks. Had a great time and quite appreciative of Hudson Farm Club allow hikers on their property per prior arrangement.

This hike turned in to be very enjoyable. I visited the website of the landowner:
I then was put in touch with Steve. Steve notified the farmer on the property when I would show up. I was met by a very nice young lady who escorted me to a nice parking spot (by all the woods and farm equipment). I was asked if I was "bear knowledgeable" and I said yes so the young lady and I parted ways. I then followed a nice woods road to an intersection , turned right and ascended a woods road past Westby. (Actually I missed the turn the first time and went down to a pond with a lot of waterfowl--this was nice)... At the base of Wrights Pond Cliffs I spotted a huge buck feeding from a 16 headed corn dispenser. It started to drizzle but I made my way to the top. I enjoyed the peak and the drizzly views, returned the way i came and descended to just past the apex of the woods road between the two peaks. Their I spotted red tags which made for an easy climb up to the top of Westby. It was quite damp on top as this mountain received more rain then Wrights Pond did. I descended after a brief stay and met a vehicle on the way up the mountain (checking to see if I was OK). I returned to the car and went home. Overall this was my favorite hike so far.
