Started at cul-de-sac at end of Jenny Layne. There's a dirt trail there - looks like construction vehicles use it to go up the hillside. Took the trail to its end and bushwhacked the remaining 150 yards to the top, crossing an ATV trail on the way up. Obstructed views at the top, but nice and quiet. Backtracked and took the ATV trail down. It joins Jenny Layne about 100 yards from the cul-de-sac, at a low spot on the road. Not obvious until you're on it.
Swampy at the start, but not bad, with lots of stickers. Whacked up a hill and then took the woods road for a bit before cutting up the last bit straight to the top. Grabbed a pic of the summit benchmark disc before heading back down.
It was a beautiful day. We started out later than we wanted to so the trail was crowded. Took the dogs however needed to keep them on a leash due to how many people were on the trail. It was harder to hike with them on leash. I would not suggest it. This was the second time I have done this hike. I love it.
