Brom Vermeulen's Ascent of Mount Gerard (1302 feet)

Trip Report: Parked on the eastbound side of Rte 23, just past a side road with stone pillars nearby.. Bushwhacked straight to the summit, not finding any trails or woods roads. Leaving the summit, I found a blue blazed trail leading down the steep west side to a woods road, which I followed out to Rte. 23. Only about 40 minutes up and back, which was good; since I wasn't really happy about where I was parked.
