Trip Report: This was a disappointing attempt. I parked at the Rockport Pheasant Farm and approached the ridge as several others described. At a point on the ridge about 0.7 miles West of the summit, I discovered that posted signs stood between me and advancing any further towards the summit. I walked across the width of the ridge, only to find posted signs everywhere I looked. I then took the scenic route back to my vehicle due to approaching sunset.
