George Grzyb's Ascent of County House Mountain (1142 feet)

Parking: Parking Area @ New Jersey Route 31

Description: Bagged Mount Fairway, Oxford Mountain, County House Mountain, and Upper Pohatcong Mountain while hiking and geocaching across 10.7 miles Pequest & Rockport WMAs. Continued on the way from Oxford Mountain by falling into Sykes Gap. Sure wish I had thought to bring hiking poles! Everything was rock slick from the overnight rain and overgrown. Eventually made it down to the gap and started up in earnest toward County House Mountain through mostly open woods. Eventually ran into the posted property and got close enough to see the tower and summit property. Ended up circling the nearby area within several score feet of the summit and took Jost road back to NJ Route 31. Thought this may have been a public right of way but alas the entrance near Tunnel Hill Road is posted as private. Not my favourite type of peakbagging.
